We can customize any timeline based on your availability. Mornings and evenings are the times to get out. Typically 3-4 hour blocks are best and both surf and bay fishing can be done in that time frame. *Ability to cast 50 feet or more is highly recommended for this fishery.

Fly Fishing classes/lessons for beginners: ONE-ON-ONE INSTRUCTION

Ever wanted to learn how to fly fish but didn’t know where to start? Well then this is the course for you. We will start with the very beginnings and basics of fly fishing. In your fly fishing lesson we will show you how to put your rod together, line your rod, connect your leader to your fly line, learn how to tie knots, work on fly casting and more. The fly fishing class is roughly 2.5 hours long. You do NOT have to own any gear in order to attend the course.

$250/PERSON (Follow up fly fishing classes are available at $100/each)

San Diego Saltwater Fly box

If you are looking for an assortment of flies for saltwater fly fishing in San Diego this is the box for you. Hand tied by Tyler Vanosdell, these are the same flies he uses for both the surf and the bay. Limited quantities and custom orders are available.

fLY cASTING INSTRUCTION

For those new to fly fishing we offer private casting instruction. We will cover all things casting and get you comfortable with throwing fly line.

Fly tying classes/lessons for beginners: one-on-one instruction

For anyone wanting to begin in fly tying this is a great course to get you started. You do NOT need to own any fly tying equipment for this course. We will cover all the beginning basics of fly tying and go over either fresh water or salter water flies depending on your focus. The course is roughly 2 hours long. We can either come to your home or we can figure out an alternate location at your convenience.
